About
Hello everyone!
I’m Rushikesh Tahakik, the face behind this new Biotechnology Professionals, Scientists, and Students Network.
What began as a simple WhatsApp group has now grown into a vibrant community.
More than 776 members have joined us so far, and 230+ people actively responded to the recent poll—which shows how engaged and enthusiastic this community is.
Seeing this response, I felt that instead of sending scattered messages in the group, we need a structured, accessible, and valuable platform.
So, I have decided to create a Biotech Newsletter that will provide:
Latest updates and breakthroughs in biotechnology
Useful protocols and practical lab notes I have collected over the years
E-books and study resources from my personal library
Opportunities for members to share their own articles, notes, or research material
Free access to all students, early-career researchers, and professionals who want to learn and grow
My goal is to build a supportive, collaborative community that helps each other, just like many helped me during my journey.
A few friends have also expressed interest in sharing their materials, and I will be happy to feature their content—free of cost—on the website and in the newsletter so it reaches more students.
If you are interested, please check out the link and share your suggestions. Your input is important for shaping this initiative.
A little about me:
I am a Research Scholar at the Biotechnology Centre, Dr. PDKV Akola, previously worked as an Assistant Professor at MGM College of Agricultural Biotechnology.
I completed my Master’s in Plant Biotechnology, and I am currently working on Doubled Haploid Technology.
I’m excited to grow this community together.
Happy to have you here!
Warm regards,
Rushikesh Tahakik
