                    5^th UTTAR PRADESH AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE CONGRESS 2020  (UPASC-20) is UPCAR and Agricultural Research Council of India organised symposium (happened month of February, late post, because I just got the time to share).

The symposium was supported by five major agriculture institute in India which includes NABARD, International Potato Research Center, IARI, New Delhi, UPCAR, IAS BHU, Looking back, I feel like I have improved my presentation skills over time since I joined Masters. Before coming out of my home town, I used to think, "OMG, I am little stammer also not a Fluent English speaker, a guy from a small town, also I am just a master student while maximum participants pursuing their PhD in the respective subject in well known Institute and research centre in nationwide,  I am no way comparable to these Students who already from very decent background and no matter how hard I try but how can I compete against them"

Even though I am not a trained public speaker in my mother tongue. I attend many Conferences and such competition before in my UGs but that situation is much different. however, speaking in English, I was never that confident!

However, after coming at BHU, I have changed my perception. I have developed my confidence in presenting science, in English! I don't consider myself a pro-presenter, however here are certain things I follow while making slides for any presentation:

 

1) The audience - knowing the audience helps in the tailor-making introduction, to decide the extent of simplification required.

2) Time limit - to decide the amount of content.

3) The storyline or the flow: This includes deciding what goes first, second, third and so on. Choosing the important data that is required to support the story. i.e the most important finding. Definitely, it is impossible to present all the data you have!

4) Colour or theme: I prefer black text, white background and pink and green for text highlights. 

I think it is better to use multi colours.

5) Animations: I like using the "appear" animation in my slides as it helps in getting the focus to what I am talking as I click

6) Practice: No matter how much experienced you are, it is always best to practice. This helps in efficient time management and in adding or removing a few slides.

Heyyy हृषीकेश,

तुला माहीत आहे तु मला सगळ्यात ज्यास्त का आवडतोस ? कारण तुझ Dedication कुठल्याही भावना,संबंध, आणि प्रसंग त्यात तुझं अगदी भान हरपून करणं मला प्रचंड आवडत.

आज बरेच दिवस नाही नाही तर कित्येक दिवस झाले असतील ना आपल्याला निवांत बोलून? असो. आज थोडं बोलूयात.

आयुष्याची 22वर्ष. ही सुरुवातीची 22 वर्ष तू चांगल्या गोष्टी शिकण्यात घालवलीस. तुला  अभ्यासात हुशार बनायचं होतं, स्पर्धांमध्ये यश मिळवायचं होतं आणि एवढंच नाही तर तुला माणसं जिंकनही शिकायचं होतं. पण आता एक लक्षात येतंय का तुझ्या? तू खुश आहेस का यात? या बावीस वर्षात बऱ्याच वेळा तू हा खेळ पूर्णपणे चुकीचा खेळालास अरे. मुळात या खेळात तू कोण बनणार हे शोधण्यापेक्षा जास्त तू कोण आहेस हे शोधण्यातच जास्त लक्ष द्यायला हवं होतंस तू.

असो. भूतकाळात रमणारा तू नाहीस. म्हणून आता थोडं भविष्याबद्दल बोलूयात. आता तुझे विचार हळूहळू प्रगल्भ होत चाललेत. पण प्रत्येकाच्या आयुष्यात येतात तसे कठीण पॅच तुझ्या आयुष्यातही आले, आणि पुढेही येणार, अनेक विचार एकाच वेळी तुझ्या डोक्यात थैमान घालत बसतील. तू यातून बाहेर पडूच शकणार नाहीस असंही जाणवेल. आयुष्य खडतर बनत जाईल एखाद्या रॉक पॅच सारखं. तू फक्त स्वतःशी प्रामाणिक राहा. शांतपणे निर्णय घे. जगात तू विचारही केला नसशील एवढ्या सुंदर गोष्टी आहेत.

हे बॅड पॅच जसे जात येत राहतील तसंच माणसंही येतील आणि जातील. काही फक्त तुला सोडून जातील तर काही जगाला. शेवट हा जगण्याच्या अविभाज्य भाग आहे अरे. जी गोष्ट सुरू झाली तिला शेवट आहेच, पण मी आधीच म्हटल्याप्रमाणे सर्व गोष्टी वर्तुळात फिरतात त्याप्रमाणे एका Orbit नंतर आपण दुसऱ्यात प्रवेश करतात आणि हा पुढचा orbit गेल्या orbit च्या energy state पेक्षा उच्च असा असतो. जेव्हा अस होत नाही ते म्हातारपण आणि मृत्यू तुला माहीत आहे मृत्यू म्हणजे काय कोणीतरी लिहलंय, “मरेपर्यंत जगण्याला पर्याय नसतो.” पिकलेल्या पानांपेक्षा तरुण मृत्यू जास्त हादरवून टाकतात. त्यातही जवळच्या माणसांचे मृत्यू काळजात वेगळीच जखम करून जातात. तू निर्भीड बन. अश्या प्रसंगात इतरांना तुझी खूप गरज लागणार आहे.

मृत्यूशिवाय अनेकदा गैरसमजांमुळेही माणसं तुझी साथ सोडतील. यातल्या अनेकांना तुला गमवायचं नसेल. संयम राख. शांत डोक्याने निर्णय घे. त्यांना बोलुदेत, त्यांचे निर्णय त्यांना घेऊदेत. तुला हव्या असलेल्या गोष्टी तुला शेवटी मिळतीलच. अगदीच सर्व नाही पण त्यातला काही गोष्टी तू deserve करतोस. मनाची तयारी ठेव. अनेक सुंदर opportunities तुझ्याकडे येतील. जग सुंदरच आहे अरे.

जाता जाता एकच मागणी आहे माझी. मला तेवढं माफ करशील ना? बऱ्याचदा चुकीचं वागले मी तुझ्यासोबत. खूपदा confuse केलं मी तुला. तुला लवकर ओळखता आलं नाही रे मला. तुझ्या भावनांशी खेळले, तुला दुखावलं एवढंच नाही तर रडवलं देखील. पण तू मात्र मला कधीच खाली पडू दिलं नाहीस. माझं जगणं समृद्ध केलंस बघ तू. लब्यु रे I really Love you यापुढे मात्र मी नेहमीच तुझ्या निर्णयांना न्याय द्यायचा प्रयत्न करेन.
